Each assembled can be revitalized by using the Free Agent and Draft packs given out after the post season play. Over 200 game play changes make this game, a more authentic feel. The new real-time physics engine is the biggest change. It makes every match more realistic and unpredictable. It replaces the old animation system. The unpredictability of real games is more realized in its virtual version. The new faceoff system further enhances realism that makes this version a greater delight to play.
Greater depth and diversity is added with the first appearance of the Canadian junior league in this series. Adding this prestigious junior league is a EA Sports coup. Playing in the the Memorial Cup of this junior competition will be a new opportunity. The three regional members have 60 teams between them. With its virtual presence in this ice hockey series, junior ice hockey has an ambassador in the virtual world.
